Single Glazing
Our steel windows are single glazed with authentically manufactured leaded lights. Made in the traditional way using reinforced lead cames and clear sheet glass panes, they are finished with a black polish and waterproofed with a special cement.
Double Glazing
As an alternative to the above, steel windows can also be fitted with sealed unit double glazing panes. These can be leaded by applying stick on lead strip to both surfaces of the outer pane of glass. The intersections are soldered and the lead is polished so as to give the traditional appearance. The double glazing can conform to the Building Regulation Document L Part 1.
